OK, so we have determined that this is fake, yes yes yes, by all the comments on here, we have determined this is fake. however, former Marine and the comment to follow that are correct. but that is not what this email was about. what this email was about is the plain and simple pictures at the bottom of it with the baby being hugged by the dog. that is all and i repeat "ALL" that this email was about. so if you want to really do something and still send the message on, take off the fictitious part about the dog winning the medal of honor and send on the cute part about the baby. i mean i know my dog hugs me all the time. and every dog that i have ever owned has hugged me.

The story is absolutely false; no such thing as an animal being awarded a Congressional Medal of Honor……(and in this case, no such dog as Brutus, nor an award of any kind).

Although some of these internet stories can be used to evoke sympathy or whatever, they tend to do more harm than the original writer intended, I'm sure! Personally, I NEVER forward a thing before absolutely verifying what I send!

I know this is a fictitious story but the part about the K-9 reading hand signals could be true. I have Labs that respond to hand signals quite accurately.

This was so obviously a fictitious story.

A dog that reads hand signals? A dog that understands to "go away" and to "come back later." What did it do in the interim? Sit down at an Arab cafe and mix with the insurgents to pick up some useful information?

I wonder who these people are who make up this crap, and why they do it?
